The Lodge

Set on a ten-acre estate just outside Lake Wanaka, Lime Tree Lodge offers luxury boutique accommodation in a relaxed, country setting, with stunning 360 degree, uninterrupted mountain views.

An avenue of 'tilea cordata' lime trees lend the Lodge its unique name and character. The rustic Central Otago exterior, featuring local schist stone, opens up into a modern and stylish interior, with no expense spared on making the surroundings comfortable for guests.

The Lodge offers four well-appointed en-suite guestrooms and two private suites, each with their own French doors that open out to an expansive gardens. An on-site helipad provides direct access to the region's spectacular ski fields, glaciers and sounds, while a petanque court, croquet lawn, swimming pool and spa pool provide plenty of opportunity for on-site relaxation.

A wide range of attractions and adventure sports are all within easy reach of Wanaka. Take a scenic cruise on the Lake, sample locally made wines, or fish at one of the easily accessible lakeside spots. Alternatively, venture into the hills and mountains surrounding Wanaka. Mountain biking, hiking and climbing are all available in this area. Wanaka is also one of New Zealand's top ski destinations, with three ski and snowboarding areas nearby, Cardrona, Treble Cone and Snow Farm.

Lodge Gardens

Lime Tree Lodge takes its name from the many 'tilea cordata' lime trees which line the estate’s entrance. Over 50 roses surround the Lodge verandas, complementing the mixture of native grasses, camellias, rhododendrons, hostas, peonies and various perennials which are planted throughout the 10-acre property.

Six acres of lawn is dominated by Douglas firs, oaks, copper beech and assorted conifers.

Refreshments

Complimentary freshly ground plunger or espresso coffee and  Fine Teas, fresh fruit & Orange juice and sparkling mineral water are available for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.

Wireless internet access is available throughout the lodge for guests with their own laptop or mobile device.
